Key Skills River Springs has reviewed the California State Standards and developed a listing of what we believe are the most important, or "KEY" skills for your student to master each year. By reviewing the Key Skills listing for your student's grade level, you can easily determine if your student is working on target, or above or below his or her grade level. Key Skills report cards give you an additional resource to monitor your student's acquisition of concepts over the course of the year. These report cards use a numeric system to show whether or not your student is working at or above grade level rather than at an "A", "B", "C" level.
Please note that the Key Skills represent a continuum of learning. At any point, your student may be well ahead in one area but behind in another. Use this information to guide your teaching. By spending a little more time each day working toward mastery of difficult concepts, you can help your student be successful over the course of the school year.
